Forget about men being from Mars and women from Venus - as far as love is concerned. Researchers who studied the reasons why people have sex and compiled an exhaustive list of 237 factors have found that both young men and women want sex for more or less the same reason - "It feels good".The study has debunked a lot of gender stereotypes with regard to sex. While the common perception is that men want only the physical pleasure and women seek the more 'noble' motive of love, the truth is that both sexes are motivated by similar reasons - physical attraction to the other and the desire for pure - or in some cases impure - pleasure.
In fact, 20 of the top 25 reasons for sex were similar for both men and women.
And while expressing love and showing affection are high up in the list, none can beat the winner by a clear majority - strong, electric sexual tension.
