I-T raids on actor Ganesh’s residence.

 
The income-tax department raided the residence of Tollywood actor-producer Ganesh and a hotelier who owns the Our Place restaurant in the city on Thursday.
Sources confirmed that the I-T department seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 8 lakh from the restaurant owner during the raid.
Ganesh has acted in more than 30 Telugu movies as a comedian and produced a movie Anjaneyulu starring Nayanatara and Ravi Teja. This actor-turned producer is likely to produce another movie soon with Pavan Kalyan in the lead.
The income-tax officials raided his residence at Jubilee Hills at 4 pm.
The raids went on until 9.30 pm. Income tax officials locked the main gate of his residence preventing the media from entering the house.
Sources confirmed that I-T department conducted raids at Ganesh’s farm house at Shadnagar in Mahbubnagar district at the same time and is believed to have seized a few property documents from there.
During the raids, Ganesh came to the balcony of his residence and said, “Only God knows if someone is deliberately doing this to me.”
The raids shocked the actors and film makers in the Telugu film industry.
In the recent past, there have not been any income tax raids on the film personalities in Tollywood.
Therefore, I-T raids on Ganesh, there was panic among actors in the Telugu film industry.
Meanwhile, the income tax officials refused to give any information on the raids and the amount seized at Ganesh’s residence.
