Finding the best places to go is an essential part of our lives, as are the people and resources that help us make those decisions. In fact, the opinions of friends, family or other trusted sources are often the first we seek when looking for the perfect restaurant for date night or the cafe that makes the best latte ever.

Today, we’re rolling out Google+ Local , a simple way to discover and share local information featuring Zagat scores and recommendations from people you trust in Google+. Google+ Local helps people like my husband turn a craving—“Wow, I need brunch”—into an afternoon outing: “Perfect, there’s a dim sum place with great reviews just two blocks from here. Let’s go.” It’s integrated into Search, Maps and mobile and available as a new tab in Google+—creating one simple experience across Google.

From the new “Local” tab on the left-hand side of Google+, you can search for specific places or browse for ones that fit your mood. If you click on a restaurant, or a museum (or whatever), you’ll be taken to a local Google+ page that includes photos, Zagat scores and summaries, reviews from people you know, and other useful information like address and opening hours. 

Google+ Local is also integrated across other products you already use every day. If you’re looking for a place on Search or Maps, you get the same great local information there too. You can also take it on the go with Google Maps for mobile on your Android device, and soon on iOS devices.

Since Zagat joined the Google family  last fall, our teams have been working together to improve the way you find great local information. Zagat has offered high-quality reviews, based on user-written submissions and surveys, of tens of thousands of places for more than three decades. All of Zagat’s accurate scores and summaries are now highlighted on local Google+ pages. 

 

Each place you see in Google+ Local will now be scored using Zagat’s 30-point scale , which tells you all about the various aspects of a place so you can make the best decisions. For example, a restaurant that has great food but not great decor might be 4 stars, but with Zagat you’d see a 26 in Food and an 8 in Decor, and know that it might not be the best place for date night. 

Recommendations and reviews from people you know and trust
Your friends know what you like, and they probably like the same things you do. That’s why the opinions of people in your circles are front and center. If you search for [tacos] on Google+ Local, your results might include a friend’s rave review of the Baja-style taco stand in your neighborhood.  And if you’re searching on Google or Google Maps for a great place to buy a gift for that same friend, your results might include a review from her about a boutique she shops at all the time. 

You can also share your opinions and upload photos. These reviews and photos will help your friends when they’re checking out a place, and are also integrated into the aggregate score that other people see. The more you contribute, the more helpful Google+ Local will be for your friends, family and everyone else.

Duet Movies, the production house floated by noted actor Prakash Raj is pleased to announce its next venture, “GOURAVAM” a Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual. The movie is helmed by Radha Mohan, whose previous hits include Azhagiya Theeye, Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum (Akasamantha in Telugu) & Payanam (Gaganam in Telugu). The movie would be shot simultaneously in Telugu & Tamil.

The film also marks the debut of SIRISH, nephew of Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, brother of actor Allu Arjun and son of producer Allu Arvind. Cast opposite Sirish as the female lead is Yami Gautam, who has previously acted in Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam cinema including the smash Bollywood hit Vicky Donor which released recently. The supporting cast includes Prakash Raj, Nazer, Pavithra Lokesh, L.B.Sriram and many others. Regular shooting would commence from 18th June at Mysore.

Eega censor report on 21st | Eega censor Talk | Eega censor review

Ace director S.S.Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ is all set to go for censor certification on May 21st as per reliable reports received by us. The makers are extremely particular about releasing the film on the 30th and no efforts are being spared to meet this deadline. In case of pending VFX work, the plan is to release the film without these scenes and then later add them a few weeks after the release as a special attraction. Eega will hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

Samantha, Nani and Sudeep are the lead actors in this graphical extravaganza. Music has been scored by M.M.Keeravani and costumes have been handled by Rama Rajamouli. Sai Korapati (Ballari Sai) is producing this film on Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner and Suresh Babu is the executive producer.

NTR as MLA under Harish Shankar direction?

Director Harish Shankar is earning all praises for his work in Gabbar Singh with Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead. His dialogues and narration are much appreciated and critics have showered praises on the film.
Buzz says, Harish has submitted the script to Jr.NTR and the actor immediately has given a green signal for the project. Jr.NTR friend Kodali Nani will be producing this movie under Vaishnavi arts banner. This movie is expected to be on a political drop back story and already there are rumors that the tittle may be ‘MLA’.
Jr.NTR is set to join the shooting of Baadshah to be directed by Srinu Vytla from the end of May. The major part of shoot will be shot in foreign locales and Kajal Agarwal will play the female lead.

After the not so successful ‘Panjaa’, Pawan Kalyan has returned to his forte of strong commercial cinema and that too with a remake of a Bollywood blockbuster. Let us see how good this is.

Story
Set on the backdrop of Kondaveedu town, the story is about Gabbar Singh (Pawan Kalyan) a fearless and honest cop who likes to be an anti-hero but with a good cause. Neglected by his father (Nagineedu), Gabbar Singh has a mind of his own. His unusual style of functioning begins to cause a pain to the local leader Siddhappa Naidu (Abhimanyu Singh) who is aspiring to be an MLA. All his illegal plans keep getting thwarted by Gabbar Singh.

On the other hand, Gabbar Singh falls in love with the demure Bhagyalakshmi (Shruti Haasan) but she keeps him away. The story takes a turn when Naidu decides to use a backdoor approach to put an end to Gabbar Singh. How does he deal with that? What happens to his romance story with Bhagyalakshmi? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances
Pawan Kalyan is all over the film and his energy levels, dance moves and dialogue delivery is punch packed. After his mild portrayal of roles, this is one film which has seen him in full form.

Shruti Haasan looks sensuous and seductive. Though the dubbing for her was a little unusual, she managed to cover it up with her expressions and natural beauty. Not much scope for her in terms of performance.

Abhimanyu Singh underplays his role aptly and has the perfect menacing look of a villain. If his character was strengthened it could have caused more impact to the film. But still, he did a good job.

Ajay did his bit as required, Suhasini was standard, Kota was okay, Tanikella Bharani had a meaty role and he did full justice to it, Gayatri of ‘Happy Days’ fame gave a surprise with her saucy character, Ali and Brahmanandam brought few smiles. Ravu Ramesh was brief but effective, he deserves more meaty characters. The others did their bit as required and added value to the film.

Analysis
When a film of star like Pawan Kalyan is on the anvil, it is very difficult to match the expectations of his fans and the general audience. The hype and hungama that gets created makes anyone go into the theatres with out of the world entertainment. And this is a true challenge for any director handling that project. But director Harish Shankar has stood up to the challenge and delivered it as required. As such, this is a full plate unlimited meals for Pawan Kalyan and not stopping at that, it serves an extra dessert.

Despite the fact that this is a remake of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Dabangg’, Harish has ensured that the story conversion happened in the right proportion and it suits the native taste of the audience. The occasional dialogues with double entendres, the entertainment quotient, the massive punch impact of the protagonist and those in-between dialogues which keep sending messages to other stars and fans is what makes the formula for a perfect commercial entertainer.

Of course, the entire focus was on Pawan and his energy levels were utilized to the fullest. In ‘Dabangg’, there were four verticals- significance was given to hero, heroine, villain and even the hero’s brother but that is not the case in this one. While most of the principal cast were sidelined and were there to fill the scenes, the total responsibility was on Pawan to carry the film on his shoulders and he has done an exceptional job. After ‘Jalsa’ this is the film where we see Pawan hysteria once again.

While the fans may have their own feast, there is sufficient material for the general audience. Right from the age of 16 to 80, there are enough scenes which can connect them to the film in terms of entertainment. Frankly speaking, the Telugu audience has always believed in larger than life power in their superstars and though cinematic liberties are taken to match those wishes, if it is done with conviction then the film gets a thumbs up.

‘Gabbar Singh’ is a product which has the right mix of Pawanism, comedy, sentiment, romance and action. Perhaps the only hiccup in the film was the climax which ended on a rather quick note. Though the voltage was less, the entire energy throughout the film was maintained and due credit must be given to the screenplay and dialogues. Here are few lines to give you a glimpse-

• "Peru, gothram cheppadaaniki nenaimainaa gullo poojaarinaa"
• "Nenu cheppinaa okate,  fans cheppinaa okate"
• "Charitra gurinchi chetta buttala gurinchi aalochinchanu"

While there are many counters and punch lines which must be enjoyed in the theatres only, the film stands as a true example for an apt formula film which will fill the stomach of the commercial summer audience. At the box office, since there is nobody around for the next two weeks, the film will register thumping collections. And given the impact of songs like ‘Kevvu Keka’ and ‘Akasam Ammayaithe..’ the chances of repeat audience is also high. We could be looking at a registered blockbuster here.

Producers K L Narayana and S Gopal Reddy have announced that they have lined up three films in the coming months. They have produced several blockbusters like Kshana Kshanam, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Hello Brother and Santosham on their Durga Arts banner in the past and Rakhi (2006) was their last production. After a gap of 6 years, they are going to produce movies again.

"We have lined up some interesting films. All of them would go to the sets shortly. Rajamouli would be directing Mahesh Babu for our banner and then Ram Charan - Boyapati film would take place. We would also be producing a movie with NTR next year," K L Narayana told the media.
