All eyes are on Anushka Shetty as she moves away from trendy roles and dons a new avatar as a zamindar girl of the1920s in her next Telugu film titled Arundathi. Anushka smoothly stepped into the sizzling role in Billa, a remake of the Tamil hit Billa 2, with hotshot Prabhas. Can she surpass Nayanathara's skin show in the original? "To be frank, I have done more glamorous roles in some of my earlier films. However, director Meher Ramesh has re-designed it to suit my build and it will rely more on style than oomph," says the svelte actress, who also mastered martial arts to fit the role. She'll soon stage a comeback in Kollywood with a film opposite hotshot Vijay but can she take on Nayanthara on her home turf ? "I love competition but there is enough space for every actress," she clarifies. Anushka dislikes gossips about herself and also keeps away from gossip about her peers. "Except for my family and close friends, I don't want to know what's happening in other people's lives," quips the actress, who is happy being single. She states that she banks on the support of her parents and two elder brothers. "My parents told me that I am grown up and that I should take care of myself," says the actress, who is also not a party animal.

To romance ‘Co’lours Swathi

After winning rave reviews for his performance in Avakai-Biryani, actor Kamal Kamaraju is all set to pair with ‘Colours’ Swathi in director Satish’s (of Hope-fame) next. The actor divulges the details in his blog - kamalkamaraju.blogspot.com: “Director Mr. Satish narrated a wonderful script that got me excited instantly... I am cast opposite this very talented girl, Swathi (Ashta Chammafame). I remember her as huge ‘teenage star’ when I was in school, herself popular doing the Colours show on television. The film 'Drona' starring youth star Nithin along with the buxom beauty Priyamani is currently in the making and is all set to hit the screens. Meanwhile, the audio release of the film took place recently and news has arrived from the audio market. Apparently, the tunes and songs set by Anoop Rubens seem to be getting a mixed response. While the peppy numbers are found to be quite trendy, the mass numbers are mixed with western beats, some say. The clear result will be out once the songs are seen on the screen.

Charmy Keeps Experimenting

The next film Charmy has signed would tentatively be called Acharya. She will be seen opposite the villain turned hero Ajay in this film. This would be Ajay's first film as a hero.

Charmy has been very magnanimous with experimenting with her career. Unlike many heroines, who insist on doing only big budget, or big hero films, Charmy has taken up the challenge of doing off-the-beaten-track films. Her strategy has also paid off with success of films like Mantra. She has also been doing small budget films where her contribution has been appreciated.

Ram Charan Suggests Bread To Money

Satyam chairman Ramalinga Raju resigns

NEW DELHI: Satyam Computers founder and chairman Ramalinga Raju has resigned from the Satyam Board.

Raju has written a letter to the board giving details of the balance sheet. Balance Sheet has inflated cash balances of Rs 5040 crore and accrued interest of Rs 376 crore is non-existent. Rs 1230 crore was arranged to Satyam and is not reflected in the books

While Ram Mynampati will act as Interim CEO, Merrill Lynch can be entrusted to explore.

As per the revelations, second Quarter numbers were inflated to Rs 2700 crore vs Rs 2112 crore actual numbers. No board member had any knowledge of the real situation of the books.

Shares in Satyam Computer shed all gains to turn negative after the embattled Indian outsourcer said its chairman has resigned from the Board. Shares were down 16.81% at 149 rupees. (11.22 am)

According to analysts, Raju's resignation wouldn't make much of a difference to investors.

"He is not to be blamed alone...the responsibility lies with the entire board. It was a unanimous decision and this board is in no place to decide on the issue," said Prabhudas Leeladhar analyst Apurva Shah.
