Hansika Meets With an Accident

Hansika who is in Hyderabad currently shooting for her film "Maska" met with an accident recently while she was on her way to the shoot. Luckily, Hansika escaped unharmed except for an injury to her hand. The accident happened near Banjara hills and she was immediately taken to a hospital to be seen to. After tending to her hand, she was released in an hour.

When the unit people came to know of the accident, they insisted that Hansika take rest and cancel the day's shoot. But Hansika did not feel the accident warranted wasting an entire day of the shoot and the producer's money and turned up on the sets much to the surprise of everyone. But knowing how dedicated Hansika is when it comes to her profession, it's not really surprising!!!

'Maska' is produced by Suman Arts and she is cast opposite Raam.

Aamir gets six packs for 'Ghajini'

Another bug that seems to have afflicted the industry big time these days is the six-pack abs. It has caught on like a house on fire ever since SRK unleashed it and now another Khan is all set to reveal his well worked and much toned six-pack abs in his forthcoming film Ghajini.

"Aamir's new physique is awesome and so is his six-pack abs. He took less than a month to achieve it," says a friend. When it comes to perfection, you can’t beat this Khan!

Abhishek - John as gay lovers in Dostana

The one minute first look promo of Dostana has finally aired and as expected it shows lead actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham depicting gay lovers.

The promo opens with the signature Dharma tune of Kal Ho Na Ho, with the Miami skyline and a pink convertible speeding on an open road. Soon, the mellow tune gives way to a bouncy hip-hop number, and a bare-bodied John Abraham emerges from the water in yellow trunks. Without wasting much time, the promo then cuts the scene where John and Abhishek are doing the tango, with Bachchan Jr, holding a rose in his teeth. In another scene John announces to a woman, “Hum gay hain!” and pointing to Abhishek adds, “Yeh mera boyfriend hai!”

If the film is as the promo terms it to be, then this will be the first time in Bollywood history that 2 major actors have gone ahead and played gay characters in a film… and that as lovers.

Bindra wins India's first solo gold

Beijing, August 11: Abhinav Bindra won India's first ever individual gold medal on Monday with a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the men's 10m air rifle.

Bindra had been in fourth place after qualifying but had a brilliant final round and hit a near perfect 10.8 on his final shot to pull in front of Henri Hakkinen of Finland, who dropped to bronze with a poor final shot of 9.7.

That allowed China's Zhu Qinan, the defending Olympic champion and heavy favourite, to pass him on his final shot and win the silver medal.

Zhu had suffered a late lapse in concentration in the qualification earlier on Monday when he had to rush his final shots to make the time limit, dropping to second place behind Hakkinen ahead of the final.

Sallu's tryst with his teeth

Brash hunk Salman Khan who is known for his intense fitness levels was recently asked to inaugurate the new fitness studio which opened up in Thane. This belongs to Prabhod Davkhare who happens to be a close friend to the deputy CM R R Patil on whose behest Sallu came over. Incidentally, the scissors to cut the ribbon were so blunt that Sallu eventually had to use his teeth to get through the ribbon, interestingly the ribbon was stubborn to defy Salman's teeth too. It appears that Sallu needs to consult his dentist also apart from his fitness instructor.

Bhumika’s ‘Mallepuvvu’ gift to her Husband

Kareena makes Hollywood debut

Just recently we had mentioned about the hot actress Kareena Kapoor in talks with Hollywood executives and now it has been confirmed that she has signed up for a Hollywood flick. Bebo will be sharing the screen space with the Hollywood star Billy Zane, who was famous for his films 'Phantom' 'Titanic' and others. The film has been titled 'Chamera' and it is heard that Kareena will be doing a thirty day schedule in north India for the film. Amitabh turns grandpa

Amitabh Bachchan is turning grandfather. No silly, bahu Aishwarya Rai is not pregnant. He's doing this in a film. After doing all kinds of roles, including those of an aging hero romancing young girls, Big B is moving on to do a grandpapa. Interestingly, he's playing grandpa not to a young kid like he did in Bhootnath, but to his own son Abhishek.

The film is Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's Dilli 6 and Amitabh has a cameo in the film. In fact, it's just a one-scene role. The film has yet another veteran doing a cameo. Waheeda Rehman, who happens to be Big B's favourite actress, will also be seen in Dilli 6.

The film is a thriller and going by Rakeysh's earlier offering Rang De Basanti, major hopes are pinned on the film. Amitabh and Abhishek have done a number of films together as a package deal, some being Bunty Aur Babli, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Sarkar and even Sarkar Raj, which also had Aishwarya, among others.

The daddy and the sonny share great chemistry on-screen and this time round, it would be interesting to see how Big B fares as a grandpa to Abhishek. Wait to watch.

Rakhi manages to rope in SRK as well

Rakhi Sawant's television show seems to have a great list of celebrities who have agreed to be guests. The coup was when she managed to get Aamir Khan to do her show. But Rakhi is not just satisfied with Aamir. There may be many more big guns on her hitlist.

Topping them probably was Shah Rukh Khan. She has worked with him in Main Hoon Na and hence knows him slightly. It is believed that the actress bumped into SRK at Yash Raj and asked him to appear on her show. He has already given her a verbal agreement that he will appear on the show.

Apparently, Rakhi had been flooding him with SMSes which he managed to coolly ignore. But he could not ignore her when she confronted him at Yash Raj. Now that Rakhi has two Khans in her kitty, she wants the third as well.

She says that she would consider it an honour to have all three Khans on her show. Well, considering the ways things are, there is little chance of that happening as Salman is unlikely to follow in SRK's steps. God forbid.

There's another story happening on Sallu front. No, this time it is not about any of his new fights. But, it is Salman Khan's new hairstyle, which has become the talk of the town.

We hear, after his series of successful hair transplants, he has finally got the much desired look and feel and he is pretty much content with the look.

"Though his earlier transplant weren't successful, he didn't lose patience and finally got what he wanted," says one of his friends. Well, must say, all is well that ends well.

So Ramoji Rao is shifting his bets accordingly. Ramoji Rao is now backing Chiranjeevi Ramoji Rao even backed the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao for some time when the TRS was doing well. He has since dropped the TRS too after its dismal showing in the recent by polls.

Ramoji Rao met Chiranjeevi when he came to the RFC to take part in the shooting in the SS Rajamouli film starring Ram Charan in the lead. Eenadu is expected to give wide coverage for Chiranjeevi and his party as and when he launches it. Allu Aravind was also with Chiranjeevi when he met Ramoji Rao.

Finally Bhavana, the young and talented actress, also falls in love with her co-star. The 'close' relationship between the Kerala beauty and young actor Nithin is the sensational news doing the rounds both in Tamil and Telugu Cinema!

Bhavana entered Telugu films with Gopichand's Ontari. Now she is acting in film Hero. Her 'hero' in this movie is none other than Nitin. Produced by GV, this film is directed by Manyan Ramesh.

Bhavana is neither accepted nor declined this news and keeps silence on this issue as usual. Are they really in love or is it just another rumor that occasionally plagues Telugu Cinema? Now the film is under progress, but rumors about the off screen romance about Nitin and Bhavana are already reached a point.

The yoga teacher from Bengaluru, Anushka is one actress who is blessed to have luck on her side. Featuring Rebel Star Krishnam Raju and his nephew Prabhas in the lead roles, the new movie commences the shooting on 4th August. Title ‘Raju‘ is under consideration.

Director SS Rajamouli‘s ex teammate Mahadevan has taken the charge of direction for the first time.

The story line is said to be influenced by the Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Kshatriya Puthrudu‘.
