The Eenadu chief Ramoji Rao is known as kingmaker in political circles. But what is less known is that he plays politics on par with politicians, the same politicians whom he is never tired of criticizing, for playing opportunistic politics.
Ramoji Rao backed the late NT Rama Rao to the hilt when the later launched the Telugu Desam in 1982. When NTR became too big for Ramoji’s comfort, he conveniently dropped him and started backing Chandra Babu Naidu. Now, Ramoji feels that the TDP may not win the next elections.
So Ramoji Rao is shifting his bets accordingly. Ramoji Rao is now backing Chiranjeevi Ramoji Rao even backed the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao for some time when the TRS was doing well. He has since dropped the TRS too after its dismal showing in the recent by polls.
Ramoji Rao met Chiranjeevi when he came to the RFC to take part in the shooting in the SS Rajamouli film starring Ram Charan in the lead. Eenadu is expected to give wide coverage for Chiranjeevi and his party as and when he launches it. Allu Aravind was also with Chiranjeevi when he met Ramoji Rao.
