Amitabh Bachchan is turning grandfather. No silly, bahu Aishwarya Rai is not pregnant. He's doing this in a film. After doing all kinds of roles, including those of an aging hero romancing young girls, Big B is moving on to do a grandpapa. Interestingly, he's playing grandpa not to a young kid like he did in Bhootnath, but to his own son Abhishek.
The film is Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's Dilli 6 and Amitabh has a cameo in the film. In fact, it's just a one-scene role. The film has yet another veteran doing a cameo. Waheeda Rehman, who happens to be Big B's favourite actress, will also be seen in Dilli 6.
The film is a thriller and going by Rakeysh's earlier offering Rang De Basanti, major hopes are pinned on the film. Amitabh and Abhishek have done a number of films together as a package deal, some being Bunty Aur Babli, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Sarkar and even Sarkar Raj, which also had Aishwarya, among others.
The daddy and the sonny share great chemistry on-screen and this time round, it would be interesting to see how Big B fares as a grandpa to Abhishek. Wait to watch.
